When you use Carwaro, we collect the information you provide directly: your name, email address, and phone number; your vehicle information (year, make, model, trim, VIN if provided); details about the windshield damage (type, size, location, photos); your postal code and service address; and your insurance provider (if you choose to share it). We also collect basic usage data like which pages you visit and how you interact with the platform, so we can improve the experience.
We use your information to match you with qualified local shops that can fix your windshield, send your damage details to shops so they can prepare accurate quotes, communicate with you about your quotes and bookings, and improve our matching algorithm and user experience. We never sell your personal information. We never use it for advertising. It exists to get your windshield fixed.
Your information is shared only with the Calgary-area shops that send you quotes — and only after you accept a quote. Before you accept, shops see your damage details, vehicle info, and general location (postal code area), but not your name, phone number, or exact address. Once you choose a shop and accept their quote, we share your contact details so they can schedule the repair. We do not share your information with advertisers, data brokers, or anyone else.
We retain your quote request data for 12 months after submission, then delete it automatically. If you create an account, your profile data is kept until you ask us to remove it. Completed booking records may be retained longer for legal and tax purposes, but your personal details are minimized after 12 months.
You have the right to access a copy of the data we hold about you, correct any inaccurate information, request deletion of your data, and withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these rights, email us at support@carwaro.ca. We respond within 5 business days.
We use basic analytics cookies to understand how people use Carwaro, such as which pages are visited and where users drop off. This helps us improve the experience. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party ad networks. We do not build profiles about you for ad targeting.
Numerical figures, statistics, and performance claims displayed on Carwaro (such as the number of users served, average response times, shop ratings, and potential savings) are approximate values based on internal estimates and historical data.
